Naoko Horibe recently has completed Galerie Ashiya Schule. Galerie Ashiya Schule manages and promotes contemporary artists.
Because the lot is located on a corner facing a relatively lively street, the client requested an elegant exterior design that would symbolically represent the gallery.
The oversized wooden doors fulfill this symbolic role, drawing visitors into a world that exists apart from everyday life, despite the very short distance between street and gallery.
On either side of the doors, tall, narrow windows give passersby a glimpse of the work on display inside and the worldview of the artists who created it, contributing to the gallery’s mission of promoting modern art.

Pracownia Architektoniczna POZNAN_PROJEKT in collaboration with mode:lina architekci have designed the main entrance to the Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Poznan – situated in a building, which is a part of historic urban structure.
The aim of this renovation was to adjust entrance for disabled users as well as set a new standard for Police interiors.
In order to provide equal chances to enter the building some rough cuts and changes were made.
While the exterior part had to be approved by City’s Heritage Conservator, architects had a free handto design the interior:
