Auditorium Plantahof \ Valerio Olgiati Posted: 03 Apr 2012 11:34 AM PDT The placement of the new auditorium creates a new central square within the overall structure of the Plantahof agriculture school. The high façade holds together the new piazza. The inner space of the auditorium lies in half-light. Two windows facing each other define the inner space and allow for a view from the new piazza towards the axis of the Prättigau valley. A thin, dark coloured, concrete wall stretches over the pillars and beams like a tent. These elements are supported outside the building by the abutments. The structure combines in equal measure a frame and a solid construction. The result is a hybrid of pillars and walls, expressing an architectural concept and lending the building character. The new auditorium is multifunctional and has a capacity of 130 to 180 seats. In addition to its conventional use, the new hall has the capacity to host different kinds of events such as seminars, congresses and panel discussions. + Project factsAuditorium Plantahof client: Building control department of Canton Grison materials: anthracite in-situ concrete, steel, chrome-nickel-steel + All drawings courtesy Archive Olgiati | Photo © Javier Miguel Verme |
PERIPHERIQUES Architectes // Dioramas Posted: 03 Apr 2012 10:35 AM PDT La galerie d'architecture is pleased to present, from March 15 to April 14, 2012, an exhibition of the work of PERIPHERIQUES Architectes. Following a first exhibition in 2006, Anne-Françoise Jumeau, David Trottin and Emmanuelle Marin wanted to present the agency's work from the last five years. During this period, PERIPHERIQUES Architectes designed around 60 projects for a wide range of programs, including housing schemes, schools, universities, law courts, libraries, subway stations, laboratories, offices, a theatre, a club, an aquarium, shopping malls, and an exhibition pavilion. Ten of these projects have been completed or are under construction. By presenting the projects as large “picture-stories”, dioramas, compositions of architects' models, design sketches and sequences of plans, the exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the creation process and to follow the history of each project. Five projects are presented in greater detail on screen tables: the Frémicourt program in Paris 15, Roller Coaster 72 at Île de Nantes (44), 117 Cardinet in Paris 17, the School Complex and Student Residence in St Denis (93), and the Cimendef Multimedia Library at St Paul de la Réunion (97). www.peripheriques-architectes.com 1/ Centre Eurorégional des Cultures Urbaines / Maison du Hip-Hop, Lille, mars 2010 ### ### 2/ Incubateur d’Entreprises Paris-Parc / UPMC, Paris, mai 2011 ### ### 3/ X Site, the city of intertainment, Jesolo / Italie, novembre 2009 ### ### |

Posted: 03 Apr 2012 11:40 AM PDT Japanese designer KAZUKIMORIDESIGN has completed total design by interiors and graphic design, naming for this esthetic salon in Shizuoka, Japan, which is located within a Japanese inn, is called Ryokan. KAZUKIMORIDESIGN is active beyond borders between categories, e.g., space, products, advertisement, and CI/VI. This is thought want to relax by the interiors floor like the sea level. This don’t have ceiling lights in order to space without glare. We had a plan in harmony with the natural light by light control of indirect lighting. The floor tiles are shiny and a type of earthenware. The wall is painted white from the gradient changes to blue. When you lie in bed, the horizon line and the color of the wall switch overlap. We have designed a natural. Here we are away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Because it make you feel a sense of superiority. We were planning to room only natural feel. Powder Room is a region intermediate between inn and spa room. This was such a simple and neutral space by using a Japanese tatami mats and Japanese paper called Washi. Motif of the symbol mark is the sun and the moon rise from the horizon. Additionally, we designed it like shining “one” of the kanji called Japanese “ichi” that means “one” is strong. “Rin” is a Japanese word that represents atmosphere of a modest and an imperturbable, such as Japanese women. The naming means “Rin” . + Project factsDesigner: KAZUKIMORIDESIGN + All images and drawings courtesy KAZUKIMORIDESIGN |
