San Pablo Group Corporate Offices \ spAce arquitectura Posted: 26 Oct 2011 08:45 AM PDT Upon entering the space we find an open reception area in a circular form which embraces you as you open the elevator door, this reception area is flanked by two stained-glass windows in blue tones with abstract graphics of medicines and when looked at closely these are infinitely deep. At the center and as the focal point there is a green wall with the logo of the company. Once you pass through reception you come to a large corridor, which connects the two big rooms for users. As the user explores them they discover playful, colorful and fun spaces that orient them to the use of the entire space. On entering the large rooms you feel that the space is relaxed, spacious and open, dotted with casual collisions which have their own personalities setting them apart from each other and breaking up the sameness of the work areas. Variation of the pitch and intensity of the lighting generates different atmospheres as you pass through the spaces, lending identity to each area, very subtly framing the function of each space. Work areas have open vistas, the height of the furnishings contributes to the passage of natural light and all users have exterior views. The project is registered with the USGBC and LEED GOLD certification is sought. + Project credits / dataProject: San Pablo Group Corporate Offices + All images and drawings courtesy spAce arquitectura+ More workplaces on +MOOD |
Jonny The Saint \ Mobius Architects Posted: 26 Oct 2011 07:57 AM PDT One of the first interior designs located at the attic of the old tenement house in Cracow adapted for an apartment with a mezzanine. The concept assumed to redesign the common part consisting of a kitchen and a dining room to a living room with a fire place, a wardrobe sheltered by the entry door, a small bathroom and a private bedroom at the mezzanine. Bedroom stairs project and wardrobe project merged and formed a uniform solid from the brushed wood and a glass balustrade with a minimalist detail. The mezzanine and the shelves near sofas were designed as a composition of different materials such as wood, glass, varnished mdf, white and graphite walls colours. Module sofas allow to freely shape the space for sitting and laying making it easy to change the look of the living room. + Project credits / dataDesigner: Mobius Architects + All images courtesy Mobius Architects+ Projects by Mobius Architects on +MOOD |
‘Liquid Space’ at Lumiere UK 2011 Posted: 26 Oct 2011 07:10 AM PDT The exhibition ‘Lumiere‘ will illuminate Durham’s historical buildings, streets and bridges for four nights; including a special exhibition of the interactive light artwork ‘Liquid Space‘. Lumiere 2011 Artichoke, 17-20 November, Durham UK. LIQUID SPACE 6.0 is an interactive space that becomes physically bigger, smaller, and brighter in relation to human behavior. As an organic fusion of mechanisms, embedded electronics, sound, and LEDs, the artwork creates a playful dialogue with its visitors. The first version of LIQUID SPACE 6.0 premiered in Japan as a commission for the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media. The project's behavior evolves in relation to its visitors, creating a sensual coexistence. LIQUID SPACE 6.1 is a public, interactive artwork placed on the island of Terschelling NL for Atelier Oerol. An ambient location in the heart of a forest allowed this site-specific version of LIQUID SPACE to establish an almost otherworldly connection with visitors, creating a futuristic merge of humans, technology, and landscape. + SpecificationsClient: Yamaguchi Center Arts and Media + For more information and videos, visit http://www.studioroosegaarde.net/project/liquid-space/ |
