Design for Geometrical-Shaped Desk Lamp Using Magnetism
This style is characterized by simplicity and intended to be functioned by magnetic force. And it also drastically excludes the digital-styled switches and high-technological decorative elements.
Electric power is supplied through the rail holding up the head lamp and the head lamp can go up and down by force of magnet fixed to the head.

Ball-shaped switch is attached to the very fine thread, so that it gives an image that it’s suspended to the air. As the electric current flowing into each sections varies in intensity, the current allows the spherical switch to shift its position to on / off and three different levels, which makes people adjust the intensity of illumination.

The core of this design is that this desk lamp can fulfill two different functions. At ordinary times, it is used as an illuminator which is changeable in height with the head lamp lifted to the top along the rail. And if the head part lowers down to the base along the rail with the help of magnetic force and overlapped with the base part, light is emitted from the parting line and then this lamp can also be used as an indirect lighting for romantic mood.

Magnet-operating on / off switch and the simplicity of the design will let the users encounter the new styled desk lamp and unprecedented way of use as well. And this device will no doubt alter people’s existing viewpoint toward the desk lamp radically.
