Posted: 06 Oct 2010 10:07 AM PDT Lamp 45 is the newest design by Jaren Goh for Singaporean furniture retailer Munkii. The Lamp 45 is modern, simplistic and engineered for the contemporary desk. The Lamp 45 is designed to be an unpretentious and uncluttered lighting piece. That is why it is stripped to its basic geometrical silhouette and for ease of use, the common bulb is hoisted at a 45 degree tilt. It’s elaborate use of precision-cut aluminum, coupled with steel wire mesh makes Lamp 45 an easy fit on the modern work desk. + Designer: Jaren Goh + Technical dataOverall dimension: 32cm(L)x29cm(B)x5cm(W) |

The deadline for applications is November 1, 2010. Project and supporting documents must be submitted by January 31, 2011 at the latest. The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies have joined forces on two continents to present an innovative and challenging new public program: GREEN GOOD DESIGN. GOOD DESIGN™ was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr. to promote and foster a greater public understanding and acceptance for Modern Design. Both organizing insitutions in Europe and America are inviting open submissions to honour design innovation and pioneering achievements in this 2011 Awards Program. Architects, designers, urban planners, governments, manufacturers, corporations, institutions, organizations, individuals, as well as individual products, buildings, concepts, projects, programmes, and technology are eligible for submission.
