New Autodesk Online Competition Aims To Find A 3D Design Visualization Star Posted: 03 Aug 2010 10:38 PM PDT New Autodesk Online Competition Aims To Find A 3D Design Visualization Star Industry-leading software developer Autodesk asks "Are You a 3D Star?" as it launches a new competition to find the best design visualization talent in the UK. Autodesk has just launched a new online competition to find a 3D Visualization Star. As part of the competition, designers, recent graduates, students and talented young guns are being invited to showcase their 3D visualisation or design visualisation showreel, with the best one winning a high-end ATI graphics card worth over £1,000, with runners up prizes of ATI graphics cards for second and third places. To be in with a chance of winning, budding designers must post a link to their 3D visualisation or design visualisation showreel in any format (i.e. YouTube video, Flickr slideshow, blog, etc.) as a comment reply to the competition post (http://www.autodeskshowcase.co.uk/are-you-a-3d-star-time-to-showcase-your-talent/) on the Autodesk Showcase UK blog, along with a description no longer than 140 characters explaining why they think they're the hottest design visualisation talent around. As part of the judging criteria, Autodesk will be measuring how many 'Likes' each post attracts so entrants are encouraged to spread the word about their entry via social media using Twitter, Facebook and recruiting friends and family to vote for their showreels. After four weeks, Autodesk's judges will make a shortlist, before announcing the winner and runners-up on Wednesday 25th August 2010. + About AutodeskAutodesk, Inc., is a world leader in 2D and 3D design, engineering and entertainment software for the manufacturing, building and construction, and media and entertainment markets.
